Specifications:
Engine: All Alloy Lexus LS400 4litre Quad Cam V8. 32 Valve double
overhead cam. Fitted with tuned length Extractors 8 - 2 - 1. Engine
management is a Link Computer. Runs 4 coils and has an oil cooler
and remote mounted oil filter.Standard horsepower is about 275 so
should be round the 300 mark. Flywheel has been manufactured as
all these engines have automatic transmissions. Holden 1 ton pressure
plate and competition clutch plate.
Gearbox: Mazda Series 4 turbo 5 speed. Alloy case.
Diff: Toyota Hilux/Hiace with 4.6 LSD. Four linked with rose-joints
at each end.Watts Linkage rose-jointed as well.
Brakes: Front: Ford Falcon Vented Discs with Nissan 4 pot callipers.
Rear:
Toyota MK2 MR2 front Vented Discs and calipers. Adjustable bias
(balance bar) pedal box mounted under the dash.
Suspension: Bilstein shocks with adjustable platforms all round.
Springs about 350 pound in the front - but about to be replaced
with heavier ones.
Body: 1979 MK2 1600 Sport, Forest Flares and front and rear spoilers.
Aluminium Bonnet, Lightened Boot Lid and Doors. Polycarbonate Windows.
Firewall has been shifted back approx 400mm with the seating position
shifted back approx 200mm.
Has been fitted with a Subaru RX Dash and Instrument panel. Multipoint
roll cage and has a trip meter for rallies.
